Christmas in New York

December 3 – 7, 2009 (Thurs. – Mon.)

  You are invited to join the 2009 Longview Ladies to New York Trip! We have had such a great time in past years and its time to do it again. I have had many requests to take the trip in December when all of the Christmas things are happening and decorations are everywhere. Although the crowds are huge and prices are higher, I am doing the trip in December this time. The shift to Thurs. – Mon. also opens up opportunities for Sunday activities such as a special Sunday brunch, Sunday afternoon matinees, or a special religious service in a spectacular venue.

We will take reservations on a first come first served basis so don't delay, this trip always fills up quickly!

Here are the details:

Dates: Thursday, December 3 through Monday, December 7, 2009

Hotel: We will be staying at the Marriott Marquis at 1535 Broadway, in the Times Square area in the heart of the Theater District. The rooms will all have two double beds and can accommodate up to 3 people

(prices are based on double occupancy but would be less if you want 3 in a room, and more for a single)

Bus Transportation: Round trip bus transportation will be provided between Longview and DFW Airport  and between the New York LaGuardia Airport and the Marriott Marquis. 
Prices: The price will include round trip bus transportation between Longview and DFW Airport (or connecting flight from Longview or Shreveport) and round trip bus transportation between the Marriott Marquis and LaGuardia as well as round trip flights from DFW to New York-LaGuardia Airport, four nights at the Marriott Marquis Hotel, all taxes, cancellation and travel insurance, and baggage handling.
Double Occupancy estimated price per person (depends on air which will be available in Jan.) $1,750
 
Payment: Deposit of $400 will hold your place. An early commitment is required to cover deposit costs and to allow me to let rooms and air seats go without penalty if we are not going to use them. Final payment will be due October 30th.

Options and Theater Tickets: Optional group outings that will include some meals or special tours. I will order theater tickets for the shows you want and will do my best to obtain the best seats available. I will bill you as I am able to order the theater tickets you request. Theater tickets are totally non-refundable. Go to www.nytheatre.com to look at the theatre offerings. If you haven't seen Jersey Boys, Mamma Mia or Wicked, those are still on and among my personal favorites. Some of the new ones that sound fun are 9 to 5, Billy Elliott and Shrek. Some revivals include Hair, West Side Story, South Pacific and Bye-Bye Birdie. At Christmas there's always Nutcracker and the Rockettes.
